Bengaluru: Bangalore Women Power (BWP) organised the BWP Women Achievers Awards 2026 on October 3 at Viveka Auditorium, Yuvaka Sangha, Jayanagar, honouring more than 150 women achievers from diverse fields.
The awards recognised women across eight categories, including Beauty, Fashion & Lifestyle; Business, Finance & Technology; Arts & Culture; Education; Health & Wellness; Homegrown Products, Food & Craft; Spirituality & Personal Transformation; and Sustainability, Social Impact & Advocacy.
Sowmya Reddy, President of Karnataka State Mahila Congress and former Jayanagar MLA, was the Principal Chief Guest. Other prominent guests included Geetaa Paul, Pratibha Saunshimath, Suchitra Venugopal and Amit Pandya.
The ceremony celebrated women entrepreneurs, professionals, creators, business owners, leaders and social changemakers, recognising their contributions to economic, cultural and social development.
BWP has grown into a large women-focused entrepreneurial community, connecting more than 1.5 lakh women and over 10,000 sellers and business owners through 500-plus hyperlocal WhatsApp groups. The organisation also conducts more than 150 community events.
BWP Co-founder Swati Desai said the awards recognise the stories, struggles and perseverance behind women’s achievements. The event highlighted women’s leadership, creativity and resilience while encouraging greater networking, collaboration and peer support.
