
Bengaluru, Aug. 22: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi interacted virtually with students in Bengaluru as part of the ‘Chatron Ki Goonj’ campaign, assuring support for a fair and transparent education system.
The programme, organised by the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee at S.E.A. Multi-purpose Hall, K.R. Puram, was attended by thousands of students. Issues including question-paper leaks, examination irregularities, unemployment, rising education costs and equal opportunities were discussed.
KPYCC State President H.S. Manjunath said transparency and accountability in examinations were essential, noting that millions of candidates had been affected by paper-leak cases. He stressed that students who work hard should not have their futures damaged by examination malpractice.
KPCC Backward Classes Unit President D.T. Srinivas, former MLA Purnima, KPYCC office-bearers and volunteers were present.
